Former Carson City Clerk Donesia Gause appointed to City Council

Carson, CA- Former Carson City Clerk Donesia Gause appointed to the Carson City Council. Jim Dear must be pinching himself to end his nightmare as Carson City Council members sent a stinging message to the former Carson Mayor and his allies this week.  They took action appointing to the council Jim Dear’s political rival who served as city clerk until Dear knocked her out of office in March to gain her $117k annual salary. Talk about role reversal! Moreover the fragile Clerk Dear was the one that gave Gause her oath of office so she could be seated on the council immediately

Donesia Gause was chosen on a 3-1 vote Tuesday night to serve the 19 months remaining of the unexpired council term Mayor Albert Robles vacated when he was appointed mayor by his colleagues in April. Council members said Gause’s selection to the panel culminates an effort to right a ship diverted by years of petty political infighting, accusations of pay-to-play politics and corruption. Gause beat out Dear favorite Alex Cainglet, the runner-up in the June City Council election won by church pastor Jawane Hilton to fill out the remaining time left on former Councilman Mike Gipson’s term that ends in March 2017. Gipson left office last year when he was elected to the state Assembly. Leading up to Former Carson City Clerk Donesia Gause appointed to the  city council position.

Earlier that night a remarkable slick 4 minute video presentation of the proposed dual Carson NFL Stadium was shown to all in attendance. The proposed privately financed $1.6 billion project has the NFL watching the council  closely. It not hard to imagine the NFL and team owners would be much more relaxed with the project coming to Carson if the erratic and seemingly unbalanced Clerk Jim Dear was no where near their investment.
